“THE SCULPTURAL GOLD HEEL”
CONCEPT & INSPIRATION
This design is inspired by traditional Oriental jewelry, the ancestral culture of gold craftsmanship, and the way women used to adorn themselves with sculptural, symbolic pieces.
My intention was to reinterpret this heritage in a refined, contemporary way, avoiding excess while preserving the richness of the visual language.
The thin, delicate spirals echo:
– ancient gold bracelets and anklets
– fine hand-crafted filigree
– feminine curves
The goal was to create a jewelry-like heel, functioning both as an accessory and as a sculptural object, while staying aligned with the elegance and modernity of Amina Muaddi’s aesthetic.
FROM SKETCH TO 3D
The design was first developed through hand sketches, where I explored balance, curvature
and the dialogue between structure and lightness.
I then translated the drawing into a 3D rendering, bringing the materials to life, gold, shine, metal finesse and visualizing the heel as a true jewelry piece.
The transition from sketch to 3D reveals: the construction and silhouette of the heel, the spiral architecture the harmony between the sole, the foot arch and the ornamental element.
This process highlights the heel’s jewel-like identity and its potential as a statement piece within
a luxury collection.
For the shoot, I wanted to emphasize the beauty of glossy, deep skin tones illuminated by warm, directional lighting.
I chose a simple ivory draped dress to create a soft contrast with the gold heel, keeping the silhouette clean and elevated.
The torso is adorned with gold body jewelry, echoing the spiral motifs and ornamental language of the heel.
This maintains visual coherence and anchors the cultural inspiration in a modern, editorial way.
The overall atmosphere evokes a luxury archival feeling like ancient jewelry reinterpreted through a contemporary lens.
The result is a sculptural, feminine and timeless universe.
